Media: Visual Photography

Photography has given me the medium to express my perception of a subject at a moment in time, whether in vivid colors or in black and white. I enjoy the challenge of photographing moving subjects, especially dancers, children, birds,, and wildlife. I started shooting black and white film in the early 1970’s, and enjoyed photographing my young children, family, friends, and the NYC neighborhood, where I lived back then. I took a couple of courses at the School of Visual Arts and learned to develop and print in my own darkroom. In recent years, I have been strictly a digital photographer. I’ve taken workshops with such well-known photographers as Harvey Stein, Rick Sammon, Darrell Gulin, Roy Volkmann, David Turner and Bobbi Lane.
