Media: Visual Painting

In my paintings, I hope to celebrate the good and the beautiful, to depict that which should be cherished, nurtured and preserved. Watercolor is bright, transparent and fluid. I love the way it will flow and mix, guided by the touch of a brush. I use it to express color, light and motion in a loosely representational style. Using the paint loosely allows it to flow and change, darken, lighten and brighten, while expressing recognizable forms. In this way, I hope to engage the viewer and present my subjects with truth and sensitivity.
